Corinne Zimmermann
Corinne Zimmermann is an expert in experiential learning and museum-based education for health professionals. After decades of experience in higher education, museums and healthcare, she now consults with Hailey Group as well as runs her own consultancy. She regularly leads workshops focused on multidisciplinary team-building, compassionate leadership, and strategies for cultivating well-being, empathy, and resilience.
Corinne works with Brigham and Women’s Hospital,
Cambridge Health Alliance, Mount Auburn Hospital,
and Harvard Medical School. She is co-founder and
co-director of the Harvard Macy Fellowship for Art
Museum-Based Education for Health Professions Educators.
With Hailey Group team members Philip Yenawine and Dabney Hailey
Corinne cofounded VTS@Work, the first program to deeply train and certify professionals in
VTS facilitation and its application on business and
other materials.
As a museum educator, she was most recently Director of
Interpretation at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
and before that, Senior Museum Educator at the Harvard
Art Museums, where she worked with the business school,
medical school, divinity school, and others. From 2008-2010,
she served as New England Regional Director for Visual
Understanding in Education, home of the Visual Thinking
Strategies (VTS). She also served as a Creativity
Consultant for first-year graduate students at the Olin
Graduate School of Business at Babson College from 2009-15.
